Sinking screws, drilling holes – with powerful cordless drill drivers and cordless impact drivers, this is no issue. However, to use these tools effectively, you need the right bits and drill bits for the task at hand. A comprehensive range of drill bits and screwdriver bits in various shapes is essential for precise and clean work on wood, stone, concrete, or metal. Our range includes accessories for drywall screwdrivers as well as versatile bit and drill sets, providing the right diameter and drive for every project. Here, you'll find everything you need regarding drill and screwdriver accessories.

Overview of Accessories for Screwdrivers and Drills

Drill Bit Sets

Drill bit sets provide the perfect solution for performing precise drilling tasks with various tools such as a drill driver, impact driver, or a conventional drill. The right bit for the material is crucial: tile drill bits with ceramic and carbide plates, metal drill bits made from HSS steel, wood drill bits usually crafted from C45 tool steel or Forstner bits for wood, and masonry drill bits for hard materials like concrete. The sets are available in different configurations and include bits and twist drills in various sizes or for different materials, ensuring you're well-equipped for any project – whether it’s precise woodworking or tackling hard stone surfaces.

Bit Sets

With a bit set from the Einhell range, you can easily drive or remove screws in various materials, whether you're using a cordless screwdriver, drill driver, or impact driver. Available in different configurations, the sets include a variety of bits in the most common sizes and drives. Depending on the set, bit holders, socket wrenches, or long sockets may also be included. For use with impact drivers, there are special "impact bits" made from durable S2 steel that are impact-resistant. "Power bits" are ideal for impact drivers with high torque and demanding applications, such as in the automotive or engineering industries. For precision work in fine mechanics and electrical repairs, there are specialised precision bits.

Drywall Screwdriver Accessories

For Einhell drywall screwdrivers, our range includes practical accessories such as a magazine attachment, allowing you to quickly and efficiently drive multiple screws in succession. The corresponding screw strips contain collated drywall screws, which are available with either fine or coarse threads, depending on your needs. You’ll find sets in various lengths, such as 25 mm or 35 mm, ensuring you have the right accessories for every drywall project. Drywall screwdrivers are primarily used in interior construction for securely fastening plasterboard. This high-quality accessory ensures you can work precisely and efficiently, saving valuable time on every task.

All You Need to Know About Bits, Drill Bits and More

Here you'll find everything you need to know about accessories for screwdrivers, drills, and similar tools. This will help you make the right choice from the wide range of bits, drill bits, and sets, ensuring you're perfectly equipped for every project.

Choosing the Right Accessory Set

The right accessory set for you depends on several factors. First, consider the materials you frequently work with: do you need bits for screwing or drill bits for making holes? Your tool is also important – whether it’s a cordless screwdriver, drill driver, or impact driver – and ensuring compatibility with the right bit holder. Also, think about how often you use bits and drill bits: do you need a comprehensive set with a variety of sizes and types, or will a standard kit with the most commonly used bits and drills suffice? Finally, consider whether you are looking for a starter kit or just adding specific accessories. This way, you can find the perfect set to meet your needs.

At a Glance: Key Facts About Bits and Drill Bits

The material from which bits and drill bits are made is crucial in determining the surfaces, materials, and tasks they are suited for. For example, ceramic drill bits with carbide plates are ideal for tiles, HSS steel is perfect for metal, and heat-resistant tool steel works best for wood. The shape of the drill tip affects how precisely and easily a hole can be drilled into the material. Drill bits also differ in the number of cutting edges, which are key to the speed and cleanliness of the drilling process. For bits, the main differences lie in the drives, sizes, and material, as impact driver bits require a torsion zone to handle high torque and prevent breakage. The most common drives include slotted, Phillips (crosshead), Pozidriv, Torx, and hexagon.

Differences in Shank and Chuck Compatibility

When purchasing drill and screwdriver accessories, it’s essential to ensure that the shank is compatible with your tool's chuck. Many standard drill drivers, cordless impact drill drivers, and drills have chucks that can accommodate tools with diameters of up to 10 or 13 mm. Drill bits, bits, and bit holders with an E 6.3 shank, which is a ¼" hex shank, are widely used and considered a standard option. Bits with an E 6.3 shank are also suitable for impact drivers with a ¼" internal hex chuck. However, there are other chuck types as well, such as SDS chucks for rotary hammers and ½" external square chucks commonly found on impact wrenches. Pillar drills often use a Morse taper. For easier handling and quicker bit changes, specialised bit holders, such as quick-change or magnetic holders, are recommended for cordless screwdrivers and drill drivers. Depending on the set, certain bit holders may be included in the package.

Storage Boxes

When it comes to bit, socket, or drill bit sets, it's always useful to store the individual parts in an organised box. These boxes often feature a transparent lid, allowing the drill bits, bits, and other components to be neatly arranged by type, length, size, diameter, or drive. This keeps your accessories tidy, prevents them from getting mixed up, and offers optimal protection during transport. At a glance, you can easily find the exact bit or drill bit you need without searching for long periods. This saves time and hassle, especially with larger projects, and ensures a smooth workflow – helping you work with your screwdriver and drill like a true professional.
